One Dead After Collision Near Mountain Vista Drive on I-25

Larimer County, CO (February 16, 2021) -- A two-vehicle crash killed one person and closed the northbound lanes of I-25 near Fort Collins on Tuesday morning.

Just before 9:00 AM, a pick-up truck and a semi-truck collided near exit 271. The Colorado State Patrol responded to the crash.

Authorities said that one person died in the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released once authorities can notify their next of kin.

The Colorado Department of Transportation and CSP closed the interstate to investigate the crash. Traffic was backed up to Denver, but I-25 reopened around 12:30 PM.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash and have not released any further details.
