Motorcyclist Dead After Sunday Night Collision

Fort Collins, CO -- A motorcyclist died and two vehicle passengers sustained injuries in a crash in southwest Fort Collins.

The Fort Collins Police Department responded to the crash around 8:30 PM at the intersection of West Prospect Road and South Taft Hill Road.

Officers determined that the crash occurred when a southbound Honda Civic attempted to turn left off Taft Hill Road. The Honda Civic collided with the northbound motorcycle in the intersection.

Police declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Their identity has yet to be released by the Larimer County Coroner.

The two front-seat passengers of the Honda Civic sustained injuries in the crash; police report that one individual’s injuries are severe but the other person’s are minor. Both passengers were transported to a local hospital.

The authorities continue to investigate the crash. The FCPD asks anyone who witnessed the collision to call 970-416-2229 and request to speak with Officer Ken Koski.
