Northglenn, CO -- The Northglenn Police reported that one person died and another sustained severe injuries after a single-vehicle high-speed collision.
The sedan was reportedly traveling down 100th Place near Croke Drive when it slammed into a retaining wall.
The crash’s impact caused the vehicle to become airborne; the car hit a telephone pole, damaged a standing car, and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop.
Both passengers in the sedan were ejected from the vehicle. The man, a 49-year-old, died at the scene. The 42-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries, and police transported her to a nearby hospital.
The Northglenn Police Department reported that neither individual was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Investigators also believe alcohol could have been a factor in the crash.
Investigators closed West 100th Place around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday to clean up the crash.
