An Apartment Fire In Aurora Claimed The Life Of One Person
An apartment fire in Aurora claimed the life of one person, and sent two more to the hospital, according to Fox 31 Denver. The fire, which apparently broke out sometime after midnight, at the Apple Valley East Townhomes, resulted in the tragic death of a child. The two others who went to the hospital suffered minor injuries. The original cause of the fire has not been released. The Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to the situation, trying to help a mother and her three children whose home was damaged in the fire. The Aurora Fire Department responded after the fire was reported at around 12:40 in the morning.
Have you been injured because of negligent maintenance by your landlord or HOA? Contact an experienced Denver premises liability lawyer in Colorado immediately to discuss your options.
Each year, the National Fire Protection Protection Association reports that there are more than 90,000 apartment fires in the United States, resulting in hundreds of civilian fatalities, thousands of civilian injuries, and over a billion dollars in direct property damage. While there are many causes of these fires, some of them are, unfortunately, caused by a failure on the part of property owners to maintain buildings and appliances properly. When a landlord’s failure to maintain the home creates a situation in which the tenant is injured, or loses property, then the tenant may be entitled to recover compensation from the owner. This compensation may be for medical bills, including future medical bills, property damage, or pain and suffering.
