Separate Auto-Pedestrian Crashes in Colorado Springs Leave One Person Dead, Another Injured

Colorado Springs, CO -- Two separate collisions on Monday evening left one pedestrian dead and one seriously injured. The first accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Circle and Galley Road.

Colorado Springs Police Department says that a vehicle driving south hit a female pedestrian and then fled the scene of the accident. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

A second pedestrian accident happened around 11:30 p.m. at the 400 block of West Garden of the Gods Road. Police state that a vehicle driving east hit a pedestrian who was crossing the street. The victim died at the scene of the accident.

The CSPD’s Major Crash Team is still investigating both incidents. So far, no charges have been filed and the driver involved in the first crash is still at large.
