Steve Wahlberg Wins Professionalism Award From the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association

Congratulations to Steve Wahlberg, one of the founding Partners of the Denver Trial Lawyers ®, for receiving this year’s Professionalism Award from the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (CDLA).

Every year CDLA and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) each select one member from the opposite side of the aisle who exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism.

CDLA sought nominations from its members, and based on those nominations the CDLA Board selected Wahlberg for his professionalism and civility toward all lawyers and the Bench.

The awards ceremony and a special Ethics CLE event will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Room 165, starting at 4:00 pm.

During the event, CTLA will also honor this year’s recipient from the Defense Bar, Scott Nixon, of Nixon Shefrin Hensen Ogbum, P.C. Wahlberg and Nixon will take questions regarding practical ways to blend civility into a litigation practice.

This special event will be held in honor of Legal Professionalism Month and is open to all members of the Bar.

Wahlberg said, “I am truly honored to win this award from my adversaries. I believe we can represent our clients compassionately and aggressively -- while maintaining our integrity. Professionalism comes from within.”

Wahlberg has served on the Board of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association for 16 years. He is the former president of the Colorado Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been practicing law since 1981 - trying more than 50 cases to verdict.
