Weld County, CO -- A fatal two-car crash occurred on U.S. 34 on Thursday morning.
The crash, located a few miles east of Kersey, was reported at 2:24 a.m. The Colorado State Patrol responded to the crash, where one vehicle had rolled during the collision.
Two people were pronounced dead on the scene. It is unclear if the individuals were passengers of the same vehicle or the two vehicles’ drivers.
All lanes of U.S. 34 at County Road 69 will remain closed until further notice. Authorities encourage trucks to detour to I-76 and passenger vehicles to use county roads.
The Colorado State Patrol has not released any additional information.
