Colorado Springs Crash Leaves One Dead, Six Hospitalized

Colorado Springs, CO -- One person died after a pickup truck veered into the wrong lanes of Marksheffel Road on Sunday. 

Around 3:00 PM, the pickup truck was traveling south on Marksheffel Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed into oncoming traffic. The pickup truck crashed into an SUV that was traveling north.

The collision killed the SUV’s front-seat passenger, according to the police. An additional six SUV passengers - the driver and five children - sustained serious injuries. Authorities transported all six individuals to the hospital, where they are all expected to recover. No one in the pickup truck was injured.

Colorado Springs police are investigating the collision. They have not released the identities of the individuals involved in the crash.
