Hit-And-Run in Adams County Leaves 61-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured

Adams County, CO --Colorado State Patrol is looking for the suspect of a hit-and-run that left a 61-year-old man from Arvada seriously injured Sunday morning. The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Federal Boulevard and 64th Avenue.

Police say that the man was crossing Federal Boulevard in the crosswalk when a 2005-2010 Dodge Dakota pickup truck hit him with the front passenger side of the vehicle. The truck then hit a traffic sign and fled from the scene.

The 61-year-old man was rushed to Denver Health where his current condition is unknown. Troopers say that paint and other debris left at the scene are consistent with a 2005-2010 red Dodge Dakota. The truck should have damage to the front passenger side and a missing mirror.

Security cameras also caught the truck speeding south on Federal Boulevard following the crash.

Troopers are still trying to locate the suspect. If you have any information about the crash, please call the Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4501.
