2 Accidents in Colorado Leave 2 People Dead

Law enforcement in Fort Collins is investigating an accident that left one female passenger on a motorcycle dead.

According to reports of the incident, Fort Collins police received a call at 10:09 a.m. about the collision that took place at the intersection of South College Avenue and Mason Street.

Leading up to the accident, a black 2013 Ford Escape was traveling northbound in the left turn lane of South College Avenue. The vehicle was getting ready to make a turn onto Mason Street, but cut-off a 2001 black Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle was coming down South College Avenue towards Mason Street when it was struck by the Ford Escape.

In total, 3 people were involved in the collision. Carol Davis, 68, of Fort Collins, was driving the Ford Escape. She suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident. Jesse Davis, 42, of Fort Collins, was driving the motorcycle. After the accident transpired, Davis was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies to receive treatment for serious injuries that were sustained in the collision.

A 37-year-old female was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle at the time of the accident. She was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies where she eventually died from her injuries. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office is expected to release her identity at a later date.

In Greenwood Village, an accident that occurred on South University Boulevard in Greenwood Village resulted in the death of one man.

Police say the man was driving a pickup truck southbound on the 5400 block of University Boulevard where it crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit an SUV head-on. The female driver and female passenger inside the SUV were taken to the hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Unfortunately, the man driving the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
