Colorado Springs, CO -- A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries when a car backing out of a parking space hit them on Monday afternoon.
Colorado Springs police responded to the crash scene. The collision occurred north of I-25 near Mill Street; the vehicle was backing up onto South Nevada Avenue when it hit the elderly pedestrian.
Police said that no charges have been filed. The vehicle’s driver is cooperating with the authorities while they investigate the incident.
