Larimer County, CO -- Three people died in a crash just south of the Wyoming state border on Highway 287 on Saturday.
The two-vehicle crash occurred near mile marker 376 between a Subaru Forester and a Hyundai Elantra.
The Subaru’s driver died in the crash. Two passengers in the Hyundai - an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman - died, and a third Hyundai passenger sustained severe injuries. The Hyundai’s driver sustained only minor injuries in the collision.
The Colorado State Patrol, which is investigating the crash, reported that the 21-year-old Subaru driver lost control of his vehicle and spun into the Hyundai’s path. The Hyundai t-boned the Subaru in the northbound lanes of the highway.
Authorities also reported that all involved individuals except one were wearing seatbelts.
The Larimer County coroner will share the identifies of the deceased individuals after their families have been notified.
