Steve Wahlberg settled a highway speed collision case for $1,100,000 in December 2013. Wahlberg alleged that the defendant veered out of the center lane of C-470 without signaling, causing a high speed collision. Wahlberg obtained the cell phone records of the defendant-which showed that he left the scene of the accident, but called his criminal defense lawyer four times. Whalberg petitioned the court to amend the complaint to add punitive damages, which was granted. The defendant agreed to settle the case for policy limits of $1,100,000.00.
