One Dead, Several Injured in Vehicle-Pedestrian Crash Outside Gaylord Rockies Resort

Aurora, CO - One person died and several others were injured in a vehicle and pedestrian crash Saturday night June 29th.

The crash was just outside the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Aurora, according to Aurora police.

Officials were notified of the accident at about 11:45 p.m. at 6700 N. Gaylord Rockies Boulevard.

One person was declared dead at the scene while several others were taken to an area hospital.

Police say the juvenile driver took off after the crash and was later found and taken into custody a few miles from the scene.

Friends say 23-year-old Levi Noles was the victim killed.

“It’s very surreal,” said friend Josue Gorado.  “It’s very heavy heart that somebody that amazing is just gone.”

Gorado says Noles was attending a party at the resort with friends when the crash occurred.

“He was one of the most honorable people I’ve ever met,” Gorado said.

Gorado says Noles had been with the Navy for four years and took part in a recent color guard ceremony at Coors Field.
