One Person Dead After Crash on Highway 24

Falcon, CO -- A two-vehicle crash near Falcon left one person dead and two others injured.

The Colorado State Patrol responded to reports of a crash on U.S. 24 around 8:00 PM on Wednesday.

The collision occurred at mile marker 325 and involved a 1997 Acura Sedan and a 1999 Dodge Pickup. 

State troopers found one individual dead at the scene. Additionally, one injured individual required air transport to a hospital; the other injured person was transported by ambulance.

The authorities closed U.S. 24 in both directions until approximately 1:00 AM on Thursday to investigate the scene.

CSP has not released the cause of the crash nor the identities of the involved individuals. The investigation is ongoing.
