Distracted Driving Suspected Cause of Fatal Westminster Bus Stop Crash

Westminster, CO - One woman was killed and a man injured in Westminster last week while waiting for a bus on Thursday, July 11.

According to local police, a 16-year-old driver hit a bus stop around 5:40 a.m.

Police stated it will take several months to investigate the crash and determine charges against the driver, who stayed on the scene and arrested. The driver was later released pending charges.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors, however, distracted driving is being considered.
