Two Dead in Crash on Highway 66

Platteville, CO -- Two people died in a crash on Colorado Highway 66 early Wednesday morning. The collision happened near CR-17 around 6:13 am. 

The crash involved a 2008 Jeep and a 2014 Ford pickup. Trooper Josh Lewis stated that both drivers died in the crash. Trooper Lewis revealed the driver of the Ford as a 40-year-old man.

There is no information about the driver of the Jeep.

Highway 66 remains closed in both directions. The cause of the crash is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
