Serious Crash in Northeastern Colorado Springs Injures Two

Colorado Springs, CO -- The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash that happened Tuesday afternoon in Colorado Springs and left two people injured. The accident occurred around 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of East Woodmen Road and Mohawk Road.

Troopers say that a 58-year-old woman was trying to make a left turn in her Chevrolet Tahoe while driving east on East Woodmen Road. She then collided with a 34-year-old man driving west in his white International truck. The truck hit the right side of the Chevy Tahoe and then went off the side of the road.

The driver of the Tahoe was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the truck was treated for moderate injuries.

Investigators don’t suspect speed or impairment to be factors in the accident. However, the crash is still under investigation.
