Three People Injured in Head-On Collision on Carpenter Road

Ft. Collins, CO -- Three people were injured after being involved in a head-on crash Tuesday morning. The crash occurred around 6:01 a.m. on Carpenter Road just west of Larimer County Road 9.

According to the Fort Collins Police Department, a unnamed 22-year-old male was driving west on Carpenter Road in his 1994 Subaru Legacy. He then hit the side of a 2012 Ford F350 that was driving east. The Subaru then spun and struck a 2008 Audi A4, which was also traveling south.

Emergency responders rushed the driver of the Subaru to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland with life-threatening injuries. The two other drivers, a 37-year-old male and a 34-year-old male, also suffered injuries.

After the accident, Carpenter Road was closed in both directions for six hours while the Fort Collins Police Collision Reconstruction and Scene Handling Team investigated the incident. If you have any information about the accident, please call Officer Ken Koski at 970-416-2229.
