2 Injured in Arapahoe County Intersection Crash

Two people were seriously injured in an accident in Arapahoe County early Friday, July 26.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department said that a Ford F-150 traveling at least 105 miles per hour along E-470 attracted the attention of a Colorado State Patrol.

The truck exited on Quebec Street before running a stop sign at Dry Creek Road, striking two other vehicles in the process. The driver of one of those vehicles and one of the passengers in the Ford were taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The male driver and another passenger of the Ford both fled the scene on foot. The incident was initially reported around 9:30 a.m. and deputies are currently still searching for them.

In addition to hitting the two cars, the Ford also knocked out power in the area when it hit a power box. More than 1,000 customers were affected, according to the sheriff’s office.
