One Dead After Crash Near Brighton

Brighton, CO -- A crash near East 136th Avenue on Highway 85 left one person dead on Saturday.

In addition to the deceased individual, three other people sustained injuries in the crash. Authorities have not released details of the injuries, but all three individuals required medical treatment.

According to a tweet from the Brighton Police Department, the injured people were transported by “air” and “ground” ambulances to local trauma centers.

The BPD closed Highway 85 in both directions to investigate and clean up the accident site. They have reopened the highway, but the investigation is ongoing. 

Neither the deceased individual nor the other victims have been publicly identified.
