Cyclist Hospitalized After Colliding With a Truck in Longmont

Longmont, CO -- A truck collided with a bicyclist in Longmont on Monday afternoon.

The cyclist, a 66-year-old Longmont resident, was severely injured in the collision. The authorities transported the cyclist to a Denver hospital, according to the Longmont Police Department. 

The crash occurred at 1:07 PM at the intersection of Ninth Street and Deerwood Drive. The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The intersection was closed for three hours while the police investigated the crash; it reopened just before 5:00 PM. 

Authorities have not released an update on the cyclist’s condition.
